WR461: Nineteen

Show Notes

It's a conversation with Violet Vopni, singer/songwriter of [Nineteen](http://nineteenmusic.bandcamp.com/releases) – a folk/jazz/pop duo that is only a few months in the making, but with songs going back decades, just waiting to be performed. We talked about the duo’s upcoming record, vulnerability in songwriting, unexpected recognition, swearing in jazz, and much more. Nineteen's debut album, *Unacknowledged*, drops Thursday, March 5 at [a release show](http://www.facebook.com/events/454587308593128/) at Le Garage. This episode is brought to you by our pals at [the Park Theatre](http://www.myparktheatre.com/), as well as the [Beer Boutique](http://www.facebook.com/beerboutiquewpg/), managed by Winnipeg punk mainstay StevO Nelson.
