Show Notes

Local electronic artist [Clash Contrast](http://clashcontrast.bandcamp.com) has been on the scene since 2007, and her pursuit of electronica has taken her across the country and into some unexpected locations (like recording an album at the library!) We talk about her influences in trip-hop, drum n' bass, jungle, chillwave, electro-pop and more, and I fill in some much-needed gaps in my (admittedly lacking) knowledge of the electronic community. Unfortunately (my bad), a chunk of this conversation was lost because I didn't check how much space was left on my memory card, but the bulk of the interview is there, and I think it's a good one. This episode brought to you by our friends at [the Park Theatre](http://hwww.myparktheatre.com/)!

WR497: No List Records

[No List Records](http://store.nolistrecords.com/) boss man Lee Repko is on the show to talk about the history of his long-running label, ‘ugly music’, easing up (a little) on his music snobbery, the importance of record packaging and design, and much more! No List has put out music by some of Winnipeg’s finest noisy bands over the decades, including Kittens, Stagmummer, KEN mode, Dead Ranch, and many more — plus a crazy lineup of artists from across Canada. This episode is brought to you by our friend [Jared Adams](http://tragicnostalgia.ca/). WR499: Micah Erenberg

After a false start at making this happen, here's my conversation with singer-songwriter [Micah Erenberg](http://micaherenberg.bandcamp.com/), on the line from the teeming metropolis of Matlock, Manitoba! We talked about the work he’s doing at [the Secret Beach](http://linktr.ee/the_secret_beach) studio with other artists, how the pandemic has affected him (it hasn’t been so bad out in Matlock), his experiences touring Europe, comparing his two LPs, and much more! Don’t forget to check out some socially-distanced shows at [the Park Theatre](http://www.myparktheatre.com/), who have slowly reopened after a long COVID-19 closure. Huge thanks to everyone who supports the podcast on [Patreon](http://www.patreon.com/witchpolice). You can help out for as little as $1 a month if you like the show and want to throw some change in the guitar case! See you on episode #500 (which is a regular episode, but lots of fun social media content will be happening to reflect the milestone)! ...

[Silence Kit](http://silencekitband.com/K) is (are?) back! The local grungy foursome are about to release a powerhouse new record, "Kitty Kitty" (seriously, it's great, I've heard it), on Oct. 5.
