Show Notes

As many of you are likely aware, I've been guest-hosting a (video) show about local musicians from time to time. It's called 'Mom's House', and it's the brainchild of a group of up-and-coming Manitoba filmmakers called Young Media. We decided to use the interview portions of the episodes I host and release them in audio form as bonus podcasts! This first Witchpolice at Mom's House episode features a great conversation with local singer-songwriter [Joe Curtis](http://www.joecurtisband.com/). The audio you're about to hear is just my interview with Joe. To see the full Mom's House episode, which includes live performances, head down to [Young Media's website](http://weareyoungmedia.com/the-moms-house-sessions) or their [YouTube channel](http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDcPW3OBfNHoOitVKkGhSlQ) to check it out. It should be available on Sunday.

WR604: Dog Dad Posse

While Manitoba is always the focus of the podcast, I also like to branch out and talk to members of what I call the “Manitoba diaspora” — artists from the prairies plying their trade elsewhere.Dog Dad Posse (a/k/a Sammy D) is one such artist. We talked about the journey that took him from Winnipeg singer-songwriter to exploring hip-hop — first in BC, now in Toronto — as well as his love for prairie rap, dogs, and so much more. This episode brought to you by our pals at Devine Shirt Company.Huge thanks to everyone who supports the podcast on Patreon. You can help out for as little as $1 a month if you like the show and want to throw some change in the guitar case! You can also throw a one-time tip via Buymeacoffee. As always, if you like the podcast, please tell a friend or 20! Rate and review on your podcast player of choice! Word of mouth is still the main way Witchpolice Radio reaches new ears. Thanks for listening! ...

WR331: Greg Arcade

Country singer [Greg Arcade](http://gregarcade.com/) is a very opinionated fella, so it’s always a fun conversation when he’s in the podcast — even if (maybe *because*?) we fundamentally disagree with each other on a lot of issues. I like that we are still pals after all these years despite that, and as always, Greg has big things going on as far as music. He’s performing (and nominated) at this year’s[Manitoba Country Music Association](http://www.manitobacma.com/news.php) awards next week, and is busy with [Golden Oak Record Co](http://www.goldenoakrecordcompany.com/)., next year’s Howl At The Moon Music Festival and more! This episode brought to you by our friends at the [Park Theatre](http://myparktheatre.com/). Extra special shoutout to the fine folks at [Kerr's Candy](http://www.kerrs.com/) on this one too! Thanks to everyone who has supported the podcast thus far. Thanks to supporters like you, we can keep churning out interviews twice a week! If you like the show, please head down to [patreon.com/witchpolice](http://www.patreon.com/witchpolice) and for as little as $1 a month (less than 12 cents an episode), you can help keep the lights on! ...
