Show Notes

When her [Spacebutt](http://spacebutt.bandcamp.com/) bandmates went their separate ways earlier this year, Bailee Woods didn't miss a beat, and shifted her focus to a solo power-pop project. As [Housepanther](http://housepanther.bandcamp.com/) (the person/the band/the legend), she released last month's excellent '[Club Soda Lows](http://housepanther.bandcamp.com/album/club-soda-lows)', an album that marries anxiety and dread with massive pop hooks. We met up in a mall food court for a ridiculous conversation about all of that and more. This episode brought to you by the [release party for 'Quiet Dreams'](http://www.facebook.com/events/207263916702467/) the new album by local indie rockers (and past Witchpolice guests) Hearing Trees. The event, presented by our friends at the Park Theatre, takes place May 25 at the Good Will Social Club May 25, with guests The Perms, Micah Erenberg and Sophie Stevens. The episode is also brought to you by [Fourth Quarter Records](http://www.fourthquarterrecords.com/), your home for the best local hip-hop, as well as merchandise like the glorious 3Peat hoodies you've been seeing everywhere lately.

WR703: Hörs.

Singer, songwriter and campus radio host Tannis Kelm (Hörs.) is expanding her horizons with a one-woman play called List of People I’ve Killed (A Love Story) at this year’s Winnipeg Fringe Festival.Stay tuned for a conversation about the hard-to-describe (but it involves conversations from beyond the grave) play, its accompanying EP, and much more! (Note: the connection during this call wasn't great, so there are a couple of glitchy moments where we talk over each other, but it doesn't take away from the quality of the interview.) This episode brought to you by our pals at Devine Shirt Company, who have brand new Witchpolice merch in the works! Watch for that! Huge thanks to everyone who supports the podcast on Patreon! You can help out for as little as $1 a month if you like the show and want to throw some change in the guitar case! You can also throw a one-time tip via Buymeacoffee. As always, if you like the podcast, please tell a friend or 20! Rate and review on your podcast player of choice! Word of mouth is still the main way Witchpolice Radio reaches new ears. WR521: Scott Nolan

It's a great conversation with one of my favourite songwriters, [Scott Nolan](http://www.scottnolan.ca/), who was last on the podcast in spring 2019. We talked about his upcoming residency at the Park Theatre with composer[Glenn Buhr](http://glennbuhr.com/), his recent interest in collage art, and a whole heckuva lot more. This episode brought to you by the Gumshoe Strut’s new [Heartbeat EP](http://thegumshoestrut.bandcamp.com/album/heartbeat-ep), and by [Sean Burns](http://seanburns.bandcamp.com/), whose new album of truckin’ songs is raising funds for Times Change(d), where it was recorded. Check out our pals at the [Beer Boutique](http://www.facebook.com/beerboutiquewpg/)! WR292: Project: Constellation

We've gone international for this episode... kind of. The guests, Santiago and Christina of folk duo [Project: Constellation](http://www.facebook.com/projectconstellation), are based in North Dakota but have strong Winnipeg connections. They're joined by Chanelle, one of their collaborators when they perform and record on this side of the border. They talk about touring, finding their sound, Santiago's former gig as a Winnipeg-based Buddy Holly impersonator (for real!), plus they perform three songs live! This episode brought to you by our friends at the Park Theatre, who are presenting '[Buffy Prom](http://www.facebook.com/events/222171375002264/)' on June 17! It's a fully-themed Buffy the Vampire Slayer prom/dance party featuring DJ K Chedda and awesome '90s music, plus a costume contest and door prizes. The episode is also brought to you by [Fourth Quarter Records](http://http://www.fourthquarterrecords.com/), your home for quality local hip-hop, as well as merchandise like the glorious 3Peat hoodies you've been seeing everywhere lately. If you like this podcast, please support it. [For as little as $1 a month](http://www.patreon.com/witchpolice), you can become a patron and help us keep the lights on. The show is free and always will be, but any help is appreciated. Thanks for listening! ...
