WR360: Lounge FM

Welcome to a weird experiment! This isn't a typical episode of Witchpolice Radio. For this one, we hosted a secret show, featuring a live interview and performance with local Friday night bath music quartet [Lounge FM](http://loungefm.bandcamp.com/). The whole thing played out in front of an audience of about 10 people in an intimate little room (shoutout [Giant Skellies](http://soundcloud.com/giant-skellies)!) and it was a blast. As noted in the intro, the interview portion of this episode is pretty lo-fi, but it gave us some good ideas on how to improve it if we do more secret shows in the future. The music, of course, sounds great. This epsiode was brought to you by our friends at the [SUNWOLF](http://thesunwolflabel.com/) label, who are releasing the debut by Katie & the Wolves March. 22, as well as by Winnipeg’s own [Death Cassette](http://deathcassettemusic.bandcamp.com/releases), who are performing at the Handsome Daughter on Feb. 23. Thanks to everyone who has supported the podcast thus far. Thanks to supporters like you, we can keep churning out interviews twice a week! WR166: Black History Month

This week we have a special episode dedicated to Winnipeg's 35th annual Black History Month celebrations. Big thanks to past guest Kumaran Reddy, who provided the interview recordings with members of the Black History Month committee, performers at the upcoming musical celebration and others involved with the events throughout February. The Black History Month Celebration of Music Showcase takes place Feb. 12 at Jekyll and Hyde's Freehouse, and includes (among others) an all-star band performing a variety of music with a heavy reggae influence. As a preview, the music you'll hear on this episode is taken from rehearsals for that show! ...
