Show Notes

Progressive folk-rock-punk foursome [The Gerry Hatricks](http://thegerryhatricks.bandcamp.com/releases) are on the verge of releasing their excellent self-titled debut EP, so we sat down in a dog-filled living room to talk all about it. The group, which is an extension and expansion of frontman Gerrit Delaquis' solo sound, discusses the songs' complexity and technicality, the process of recording and writing the EP, and a lot more. They also perform four acoustic songs, and since – at the time this is being released – there isn't a ton of Gerry Hatricks material available until the record hits Bandcamp on Oct. 11, it's a cool way to get an advance listen. WR213: Thieveswpg

We didn't forget about this episode! Back in the summer, co-host Ryan moved over to the guest chair (along with collaborator Tina) to talk about his Thieveswpg art collective. Due to other episodes being more time-sensitive, this episode continually got bumped until now. If you're a recent listener, this one is a little different than what you've been used to over the latter part of 2016. Because it was recorded earlier in the year, it follows the old random song selection format rather than being an in-depth feature on a particular artist. We talk to Ryan and Tina about the inception and growth of Thieves, as well as the trials and tribulations of being DIY, independent visual artists in Winnipeg today. I haven't listened to this episode since it was originally recorded, so I guess it's a bit of a surprise for everyone! ...

WR473: House of Wonders

It's a self-isolated chat with [Yes We Mystic](http://yeswemystic.bandcamp.com/)'s Adam Fuhr, all about his brand new record label, [House of Wonders](http://houseofwonders.online/), the label’s first release (by Amos the Kid)... and much more! Thankfully we managed to get this one recorded and in the bag mere minutes before my memory card ran out of space! This episode is brought to you by our friends at [the Park Theatre](http://www.myparktheatre.com/), by [Trevor Fisher](http://www.linkedin.com/in/fishertrevor) of Way2Wealth Management, and by [Book of Ghosts](http://www.facebook.com/pages/category/Musician-Band/Book-Of-Ghosts-113180690050815/).
