Show Notes

[FreakingSnap](http://freakingsnap.bandcamp.com/) is an extremely prolific local electronic/experimental artist. He's released over 400 albums (and counting), and as we discuss on this episode, it's all building to an eventual goal. We talk about how/where to delve into such an epic catalogue, about the differences between live on-stage recordings and basement jams, being nervous performing improvised pieces, and much more. This episode is coming out on a notable date for Chris, too... kinda. It's probably going to end up being released right at the end of 8/14, but close enough to 8/15 that it pretty much counts. This episode is brought to you by Osborne Village’s new pop-up record store, [Old Gold Vintage Vinyl](http://www.instagram.com/oldgoldvintagevinyl204/), and by our friends at [The Park Theatre](http://myparktheatre.com/). It's also brought to you by [Wildflower Media](http://wildflowermedia.ca/), a local media and graphic design company that specializes in websites and graphic design, especially posters and social media graphics. Listeners to the podcast can get a discount (between 20%-50%) on various Wildflower services by visiting [wildflowermedia.ca/witchpolice](http://wildflowermedia.ca/witchpolice)!

WR215: E.GG

This week's guest, rapper E.GG, was involved in two of 2016's best local albums -- 3Peat's debut EP and the more personal, contemplative Alverstone, a solo joint that snuck in at the end of the year and gets better with every listen. We hung out after-hours in a barbershop to chat with E.GG about how his upbringing in Winnipeg's West End neighbourhood shaped him as an artist, his goals for both 3Peat and his burgeoning solo career, and his desire to introduce Alverstone and his unique storytelling style to listeners outside of the local rap scene... beginning with a solo show Feb. 10! ...

WR003: Diseases

In this, the third weekly episode of Witchpolice Radio, Rob, Jon and Sam tackle the latest theme: Diseases. As with episode #2, there's a full-length version coming in at just over an hour and half, plus the concise, edited one-hour version. WR272: Gerrit Delaquis

Folk singer and multi-instrumentalist [Gerrit Delaquis](http://www.facebook.com/pg/gerritdelaquis.strings) may seem like a new face in the local music scene, but he's spent the past four years quietly perfecting his debut album, 'Calm Cloud', which will be released March 10 at Le Garage. Gerrit talks about his obsession with stringed instruments, the development of the record, the punk aesthetic (or not) of his DIY music, and much more! This episode is brought to you by 2018's [Manitoba Metalfest](http://www.facebook.com/events/1568424073252273/), March 16 and 17 at the Park Theatre, feat. artists like Cancer Bats, Demolition Hammer, and a one-time only reunion of Damascus! ...
