Show Notes

This episode's guest is a bit of mystery. The writer known as [Ticketmomster](http://www.facebook.com/TicketMOMsters) has been penning anonymous, fly-on-the-wall style pieces about a wide range of Winnipeg concerts for some time now, and she's thus far managed to hold on to her secret identity. We don't drop any big hints during this interview, but we do discuss Ticketmomster's choice of remaining anonymous, her unique -- and untrained -- storytelling style, her favourite local artists, and much more! Thanks to everyone who has supported the podcast thus far. Thanks to supporters like you, we can keep churning out interviews twice a week! If you like the show, please head down to [patreon.com/witchpolice](http://www.patreon.com/witchpolice), and for as little as $1 a month (less than 12 cents an episode), you can help keep the lights on! This episode is brought to you by our friends at the Park Theatre, who have a whole calendar of great upcoming shows. Check it out on their website for more details! ...and speaking of the Park, be sure to check out the inaugural [Manitoba Podcast Festival](http://www.facebook.com/events/2188824571388548/), happening there Sept. 30!

WR531: The Bloodshots

It's a new interview (it had been way too long!) with rock n’ rollers [The Bloodshots!](http://www.bloodshotsmusic.com/) We talked about their signing with [Golden Robot Records](http://goldenrobotrecords.com/), playing more layered, complex music, Winnipeg’s inherent weirdness as a place to play shows, and much more! Note that one member of this band (sorry, Orvis!) is difficult to hear. It's one of the hazards of doing these remote episodes with large groups -- sometimes connections/devices/etc. can have an impact. It definitely doesn't take away from the quality of the overall episode, though! This episode brought to you by [Rob Crooks](http://robcrooks.bandcamp.com/), whose outstanding new album, Introducing the Ghost, is out now from [Saskatoon Folk Rap Records](http://saskatoonfolkraprecords.bandcamp.com/), and by [Boots & Saddle](http://ckuw.ca/programs/detail/boots-and-saddle) on CKUW, hosted by [Sean Burns](http://seanburns.bandcamp.com/) Huge thanks to everyone who supports the podcast on [Patreon](http://www.patreon.com/witchpolice). WR109: Last Panel Podcast / National Music Centre

It's a packed house in the Blanket Fort as hosts Sam, Jon and Rob are together again to talk "brain" songs with guest **Julijana Capone** and **Jamie Cote**. A former Winnipegger, Julijana is now with the **[National Music Centre](http://www.nmc.ca/)** , a fantastic museum (and much more) based in Calgary. The NMC is working toward a massive project launch in 2016, so Julijana fills us in on some of details. Jamie may be known to some of you as a member of late-90s/early-00s Winnipeg ska bands **[Grandpa's Army](http://witchpolice.blogspot.com/2009/04/every-grandpas-army-song-ever.html) ** and the early incarnation of **[The Barrymores](http://witchpolice.blogspot.com/2012/01/barrymores-kill-all-ska-kids-2001.html) ** \-- both with Witchpolice co-host Sam -- but that's not why he's here. He's co-hosting a new podcast about comics called [**The Last Panel**.](http://www.thelastpanel.com/) ...
